Original Item: One-of-a-kind. This appears to have started life as a 1918 trench knife which was reworked to be a custom knuckle duster knife using a composite grip with has an impressed name JOHN LUCAS on one side. The center of the grip bears a carved bone skull. The entire grip and steel knuckle duster was painted back where as the blade was deeply blued. A custom leather sheath was produced and also painted or stained back at some point. Overall length measures 9 1/2 inches with a blade length of 5 1/2. The blade was certainly sharpened and reworked most likely from an M1918 or possibly a British Fairbairn–Sykes fighting knife. A really interesting and unique knife from World War Two.
